Thank you for finding this page. It oftentimes goes without saying that a professional musician's career is one that is undertaken out of passion and enthusiasm. More often than not, it's also not the most financially rewarding endeavor. The motivations of inspiration, exhilaration, and sharing energy far outweigh the financial return in my opinion. With that being said, however, many people who venture to share their personal craft of music making or instrumental performance do so knowing the journey will be filled with many bumps and pitfalls.
Since I began my own journey with the aspirations of sharing the theremin with a larger audience around the world, I have had the wonderful fortune of meeting new friends that would lend me a helping hand along the way. I honestly cannot imagine where I would be without the support of those who truly understand what I am doing.
From my experience, I can say I had met several occasions where I found creators, musicians, or artists that were humbly asking for support to help foster their professional growth and or livelihood. Before I made the decision to dedicate myself to what I currently do, I really did not understand what it meant to ask for a donation. Now, I can feel pressure to continue to sustain myself while pushing forward on the journey.
I realized that I do indeed have a similar story to other artists working their way to better living while pursuing their craft. I am now confident that I would simply not be able to advance without the support and helping hands of friends of this fascinating musical instrument.
